It looks like you received the mute for being rude/disrespectful towards another player, according to the notes on the ban,this included saying

as well as telling them to "shut the fuck up" multiple times.

Fairs, I hope they got muted as well since they did start the entire scenario.
They started talking about things that people really didn't want to be a part of such as "liking buff women" and talking about trans related topics. Generally the whole server at the time didn't appreciate their presence but fairs.

Personal muting through the scoreboard or pause menus is a function you're capable of using instead of getting yourself gagged for a whole week
Like I said, multiple people didn't think of doing so and were forced to listen to their conversations, after he left a few people even said "Finally the torture is over" or something along the lines of that.
