So I came back to this thread after a few days of internal consideration intending to provide further discourse on the issue and apologize for the intrusion by non-senior staff in this thread. Normally that isn't an issue but it would appear that several people feel very strongly about your particular choice of spray, and those posting here without permission have already been reprimanded for it. However, if this is your attitude, then we're done here. I have no problem with people respectfully disagreeing with staff actions or having a discourse about what transpired, but if you're going to start responding with abuse and slurs because you don't get your way quickly enough, then the door is over there.
The spray is certainly an appreciable part of the issue as we had multiple people (staff, devs, and others) independently express concern that it appeared to be referencing Nazi symbology, especially when casual searches suggest to me that the far more commonly used variants of this flag are not at all black and white on red but have additional colours that greatly reduce its similarities. Due to other corroborating factors, our staff (and at least one player, judging by the comments here) are still skeptical that the intent is as innocent as you claim, but I have been known to give people the benefit of the doubt in the past, provided they don't burn those bridges during discourse as you have here.
Furthermore, it appears you were banned for more than just your spray; before any of this transpired you already appeared to have a beef with our staff because you disagree with several of our server rules. I can also see you have a history of past infractions for which you have received warnings and a temporary ban not too long ago. At minimum that makes this a second-infraction level punishment on the order of weeks. Since your appeals thread is formatted correctly, I'm going to assume you read the sticky thread in this forum, which also states:
Please note that threats, abuse, SHOUTING IN ALL CAPS, begging, grovelling, rule-lawyering, and anything other than calm, reasoned discussion will not help your case. Extreme instances can result in a temporary ban being upgraded to permanent.
All things considered, I am now not inclined to make any changes to the ban issued, and under our standard
posted policies for permanent bans, it will be eligible for appeal one year from the date it was issued, on 10-26-2025.
However, if you decide to circumvent your ban with an alternate account as you propose, you will lose that right to appeal and any alts will also be banned permanently from our servers.
If you disagree with our published rules and policies, then I posit that you'd feel far more at home creating and managing your own server for TF2C (as you propose in your chat messages), rather than continuing to have conflict with them here, and I wish you the best of luck should you choose to do so.
