Hi, today i tried to enter VaultF4 - Official [NA] Randomizer in TF2 classic but couldn't because of the ban.
The reason in the Ban List was "Pro-War Name" but my nickname doesn't have anything related to the Ukraine/Russia conflict.
I dont really have an idea how to appeal this.. Ill just try to explain my nickname, ahem:
(ЧВКcumм.) - My friend created a group of TF2 players on a communizm theme, not really about politics or something, just to have fun playing the game. He asked me to fit in my nickname something that would show everyone on the server that we play together, my nickname is pretty long so i shortened the "commie" word.
KotVkopushone - Translates from russian like "cat in a hood" i created this nickname while was 8 and kept it to this day.

On review I can confirm the ban was issued for the use of "ЧВК" in your username, which is almost exclusively used as a reference to PMC Wagner, who had significant involvement in the current Ukraine conflict.

We're pretty sure you knew that despite what you claim above, so here's the deal:

We'll give you a "get-out-of-jail-free" card and adjust the ban length to "time served" on the conditions that:
- The offending phrase is removed from your username
- You won't get another chance. If you break any more of our server rules, we reserve the right to reinstate a permanent ban in full, and to reject any future appeals.

Please reply here letting me know you've read and understood the above, and I'll make the modification to your ban.

I'm not that really involved in politics and know very little about that kind of things so im sorry about that.
I asked my friend who created the group and he told me that he took that "ЧВК" thing from french army/ hired mercenary army.
Im ready to remove that phrase from my nickname to get rid of the ban because that group is pretty much dead but i would like to keep it because almost all of my steam friends call me "ЧВК" for short because of my long nickname and im really used to it.

Let me know what do you think of this and ill take action.

Unfortunately while it may not apply to your intent, due to world events the more common usage of the term has too many problematic connotations and usages in support of the war in Ukraine, which is why we have elected to prohibit it on our servers for the foreseeable future.
