[Open] Ban Appeal [Verbal Teasing/Trolling]

Additional Comments: To begin with, the severity of what i've done is really overrated IMO. All I did was tease this guy for being a jerk in the first place. To start off, we were on the same team as both engineers. He abandoned his sentry gun and expected me to maintain it while he was gun toting at the front lines as an engineer. Who would've guessed both of our sentries blew up after a merciless uber push. After that, he threw a temper tantrum and called me an incompetent idiot. Obviously I wasn't having none of it and it pissed me off a lot, so I switched teams as a spy to tease him. Here's where the racism part comes: its just me saying the N word like twice. But that's also where it ends. The guy doesn't even remotely sound black, and race had nothing to do with the feud. He was mad that I wasn't creative with the verbal insults and had to resort to poor taste racial slurs, (and he's right about that), but the fact it made him even more mad is why I kept going. Why did the mods turn my 3 day ban i waited patiently for into a permanent one?



I don't see how that's even fair. I never had previous bans to begin with. I was never mean for no reason except when push came to shove.Nothing about what I did was griefing either. I taunted after every backstab at the cost of dying immediately after. It didn't put met at a top score, all I've achieved was online teasing in a video game towards a guy who isn't even black. P.S. The guy called everyone on his team jackasses for not saving his sentry nest, meanwhile I tried everything I can to help the team to begin with. I admit that I shouldn't have said the N word two times in the span of me backstabbing the guy twice. I agree that I deserved a ban for breaking the rules, but I literally waited 3 days just to see my ban transform into a permanent one, like WTF?

i'm truly sorry for saying that stuff out there when I should've thought carefully about what I needed to say, and i understand why this ban was carried out in the first place.
I'm here to appeal to an unban because I really like playing on your standard map rotation servers, other servers don't compare because it's mostly 24/7 ctf or custom maps. I'm perfectly fine with behaving like a good boy as long as I get to play again.

Edit: If you guys think i'm lying, go ahead and ask the guy who banned me what was happening and they may remember the person I was beefing with

I'll apologize for the confusion regarding one aspect of your ban. I've been informed that while it was initially a 3 day communications block, this was revised to a 1-day full ban a minute or so after it was issued.

However it would appear your ban was upgraded from to permanent because you attempted to return with an alternate account to circumvent the ban. You did this not once, but twice.

We have a zero tolerance policy for this and I will direct your attention to Server rule 6:

Any form of evasion from an admin action will result in a ban from our servers. The length of the ban will depend on the severity of the evasion. This includes the use of alternate accounts to evade punishments. Evasion bans are NOT eligible for appeal and must be served in full, regardless of whether the original ban was justified. You are expected to be mature and file an appeal if you disagree with staff actions; doing otherwise will probably hinder your chances of a successful appeal.

I feel like that's kind of missing the point. Whether a person is, or is not something does not change that you used a racist term as an insult towards another player. There are up to 22 other people in the server, any one of whom might be offended by your choice of words.

I hope that at least helps clarify the reasoning for the change in your ban. In light of this information... do you have anything else you'd like to add or comment in regards to your appeal? Our normal policy is that permanent bans (including those resulting from ban evasion) are not eligible for appeal until at least one year has passed from the day they were issued.
