TF2:Gold Rush thoughts?

The sourcemod Team Fortress 2: Gold Rush released on Steam last night.
What are yall's thoughts on it so far?

I'm personally not a fan.
Lack of autoreload seems to me the weirdest and most offputting choice so far. The game also has a high lack of QoL features, so much so I had to hide my viewmodel (which is pretty pleasant actually..). A lot of visual noise too, I'd say more than Live TF2 does. And not enough performance improvements for how much is stripped away. Not even gonna talk about locking the already small non-stock weapon pool behind achievements. Offers nothing new to compensate either. Maybe the sniper rifle feels a little bit smoother, but that may just be placebo with me hitting a 3 k/d ratio on today.

Biggest non-gameplay offputting thing to me though was the dev-encouraged lack of community moderation. Which results in an awful amount of bigots and nazis on the servers. Pretty sure the-youtuber-we-shall-not-name has some servers of his own there too. Direct opposite of VF4's partnership with the TF2C devs as the official safe-space servers.
one could say that this mod's design caters to the type of people who believe in ideologies that blindly idolise the past, but oh well...
 
Pretty much the same as Dozer. Don't care much about a version of TF2 that is just the bones and doesn't offer anything new. Feels like a pointless endeavor.
