good idea until you remember that the idea of team coaches in tf2 scene is basically nonexistent lol. in bigger esports sure but definitely not on this scene.
Maybe with that attitude!

aim trainers are no joke. spent two hours doing tracking scenarios on kovaaks, hopped on, absolutely obliterated enemy team as heavy. 11 doms, 3.5kdr, 141 points, we even won a round on pl_frontier without ever having a medic on offense. and that's just day 3 of my aim training journey.

what does "mouse smoothing" even do?
reduces jagged movement by smoothing it out across two frames at the cost of input lag. or something like that. not worth it unless your mouse costs <=10 dollars.

I've never really touched an aim trainer, probably alright for warming up but I don't think you'll get more improvement compared to someone spending that time just playing the game. That's just me though, post ur experiences as they come for sure would be interesting to read

in only 4 days of aim training i saw more improvement in my general aim than in 2.5-3 years of playing tf2(c). it's 2am so i can't be bothered to write it out at length, but a good metaphor i've had with training in a casual game like tf2 is - it's like coming to a gym where the weights are randomised for every rep.

the most important part of aim training is that it teaches you proper technique, something a game can't do, especially a "relaxed" one like tf2 where you're not exposed to constant gunfights, especially in casual settings. it's also why people recommend playing even just competitive tf2 pugs to improve game sense. being actively challenged at your skill level leads to faster improvement than inconsistency of casual mode. even better when that challenge can be the sole focus of improvement to be transferred into the game.

today after a training sesh that was slightly less productive than yesterday (though i can excuse that as i am a little bit sick) i hopped on a game of pl_badwater and went 36:4 kd on sniper. my aim is genuinely unrecognizable in just a few days, and i'm only bronze complete on voltaic benchmarks. god only knows how it's gonna look once i hit gold complete or beyond.

another good metaphor is like, your job can involve lifting weights but unless you hit the gym and properly train your weightlifting, you will continue struggling with your job for the most part. same goes for FPS games in my opinion.
