the most important part of aim training is that it teaches you proper technique, something a game can't do, especially a "relaxed" one like tf2 where you're not exposed to constant gunfights, especially in casual settings. it's also why people recommend playing even just competitive tf2 pugs to...

in only 4 days of aim training i saw more improvement in my general aim than in 2.5-3 years of playing tf2(c). it's 2am so i can't be bothered to write it out at length, but a good metaphor i've had with training in a casual game like tf2 is - it's like coming to a gym where the weights are...

reduces jagged movement by smoothing it out across two frames at the cost of input lag. or something like that. not worth it unless your mouse costs <=10 dollars.

aim trainers are no joke. spent two hours doing tracking scenarios on kovaaks, hopped on, absolutely obliterated enemy team as heavy. 11 doms, 3.5kdr, 141 points, we even won a round on pl_frontier without ever having a medic on offense. and that's just day 3 of my aim training journey.

Frequent TF2C Players Mouse Settings Survey

a mouse basically moves on a grid of dots. the DPI value defines the density of those dots. so on a desktop without any other adjustments, moving your mouse an inch at 800 DPI would move it 800 pixels. in the source engine there is an m_yaw value that is set to 0.022, the amount of degrees the...

i'm not really keen on the idea of neutral VIPs that much outside of just general pugs/mixes. because the player could have bias towards playing better for a specific team. like, yknow, matchfixing and stuff. or even just not having proper info on specific strats a team may have discussed...

good idea until you remember that the idea of team coaches in tf2 scene is basically nonexistent lol. in bigger esports sure but definitely not on this scene.

alttab and comptf2c already have the infrastructure in place, it's just a distinct lack of interest to come play

i do miss the comptf2c server, it barely got any activity after the steam release. i do hope as summer is rolling around that activity will be back up soon. i really gotta feel my skills out in an actual competitive environment again.

maybe all 9 would be hard because i can't imagine competing on med without the crossbow or spy without the c&d, etc.

(not to mention i was also on the winning team of tf2c's 4v4 competitive tournament as medic. i just don't play medic that much in pubs unless i can work with another high skilled player on a dps class)

right now i'm maining sniper and heavy, situationally pyro/soldier/scout. bought kovaaks today and even after an hour's sesh of training i sense insane improvement, effortlessly went 4kdr on harvest. if i keep this up as a routine it's gonna be something good.

there are probably some good NA players to pick too but i don't play nearly enough on NA. in all fairness this draft really feels like whatever the fuck is happening at bcgame cs2 team right now. s1mple, electronic and Senzu in one team is crazy talk but somehow real.
