You could also do what a lot of game vloggers do on youtube. Record some game footage of you playing and talk about it at the sametime. I think those end up going over a bit better with viewers, since they get to watch and hear at the same time.

sounds like the touch screen digitizer glass broke, and not the LCD itself if you are still getting picture. I dont have any pictures of the damage to go off but it should be a cheaper replacement as compared to the LCD screen and the touchscreen glass is something you can replace yourself...
