• Please DO NOT post in a ban contest thread unless you are:
    1. The person banned or posting a ban request.
    2. Senior Staff.
This is necessary to keep threads on-topic and uncluttered. Thank you.

If you don't know why you were banned, you probably broke one of our server rules. Most bans are temporary except in the case of gross violations or repeated infractions.
  • We are aware of sporadic errors when browsing our site. This is an issue with our hosting provider and not something we can fix on our end. We are hopeful it will be resolved soon. ~VintagePC

[Resolved] Ban appeal

In-Game name: Perth
Time of Ban: 01:43
Date of Ban: 01-20-24
Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:821282897
Reason for Ban: Previously banned, Ban Evasion
Additional Comments:

Whilst playing a match of badwater, I discussed how someone on the game discord server had asked if I were the person who sounded like Hale's VA. Almost immediately I was banned for Ban Evasion, which I find really confusing because I've never played Team Fortress 2 Classic on any other account when I was banned. After reaching out to the admin 'Juno!' on discord, I was mistaken for someone else immediately, as I was greeted with "hello MeltingButter". After some very short discussion on the steps I should take to get unbanned, I was lead here, typing out what I am now. While I appreciate the admins dedication to protect their servers, I am understandably upset of being wrongfully accused of ban evading, and being another person entirely.

Your ban appeal has been received and we'll review the details and get back to you shortly. Usually this occurs in 24-48 hours.

Unfortunately for you, this is the oldest trick in the book, and we know this is at least your third steam account that's been banned from our servers. We have a zero tolerance policy for ban evasion and we will not be reversing your ban at this time.

In addition, I'm explicitly stating the following:
You were no longer welcome on our game servers as of your first ban, and continuing to access them after being denied permission by us likely is a violation of international cybercrime law, and at minimum a violation of your ISP's Terms-of-Service. We already have the assorted logs and information we need from your past shenanigans, and if you continue to evade your ban then we will respond accordingly.
