Reason for Ban: Racism/Hate Speech

About 6 months ago, I had an incident in a tf2 Classified server that involved me harassing a User (Who I was later informed was trans), using words I won't repeat here.
I want to say I'm incredibly sorry, and I'm disappointed in myself over my actions.

During the incident, it was extremely late (About 3 or so in the morning), I was in incredibly bad mental health, and I hadn't slept the night prior. I said words that I had no knowledge of what they meant, apart from what they sounded like they meant. I thought I was just joking around and saying harmless words, but obviously that wasn't the case. For the handful of jokes I made, those were all incredibly stupid, and I have zero idea why I said them. They were shitty edgelord jokes you would hear from children, and I'm confused about how I thought they were funny.

I wish I could apologize to whoever that person was, so bad. I can't imagine how they felt. They were being nice, and everything, and I was an asshole to them.

Everything I said was supposed to be in good faith, although I'm not saying that's an excuse in any way.

I'm not trying to excuse anything I said, shift the blame, or anything even close to that. All of that was my fault.
This isn't being written to try and clear my name. I don't blame anyone who is mad at me over this, before or after, banned or unbanned.

I'm also not expecting to be unbanned, and I completely understand if this is denied.
(Also, I'm not exactly sure if I'm allowed to make another appeal this soon)

I apologize for the delay and thanks for your patience. Let me check if one of our ban appeal team can review this for you. (I don't usually handle appeals anymore to focus my time on the server side of operations) Either way you should get a final decision in 2-3 days.

Thanks again for your patience. Since the original ban was issued a little less than a year ago and the infraction was fairly severe, I don't think we're quite ready to issue a full unban yet.

However, given your general demeanor in both of your appeals in acknowledging what happened and taking the time to reflect on it, I think I have a reasonable compromise: we'll consider your appeal/apology as accepted, and adjust the timing of your ban from "permanent" to instead expire one year from the date it was issued. (looks like that would be 11-30-26 based on the date in your original post).

Of course our usual caveat applies here in that this is your one get-out-of-jail-free card and if there is a repeat of this infraction or another violation of our rules, we reserve the right to fully reinstate the ban with no chance of re-appeal.

Sound reasonable? I'll make the adjustment once we receive your acknowledgement.
