Geoff
Sir "Let's Play"
Hey people! (and the rest of you)
Since I communicated the closure of the official forums, several community initiatives have launched to give players a continued forum-like discussion platform for Smite. I have spoken with the administrators of the forums below to get their Community Statement, and I will be sending them some codes for giveaways soon.
(Listed in alphabetical order. Please message me if you run a site that I need to add to the list.)
Smite Boards - "The unofficial official forums. We're a tight knit community working together to make sharing together, playing together, and discussing together easier than ever before."
Smite Community - "SmiteCommunity is currently an unofficial forum for Smite hoping to replace, enhance and modernize the old official Smite forums. We plan to bring together a large community to participate in organised discussions, as well as any competitions or events the community staff will put together. As time goes on and the community grows, we will cater for the community appropriately and introduce new content and community-oriented activities."
Smite Nation - "Giving The Community A Voice. SMITE NATION is a community centered environment dedicated to giving the SMITE community a voice. We provide a home where you can discuss, share, and voice your opinion of SMITE without the fear of toxicity. From dedicated forums to a community media outlet, SMITE NATION aims to be your #1 SMITE community resource."
Posting this because it raises questions. The number 1 being "If they are recognizing and telling people to go to these forums, WHY NOT KEEP THEIR OWN?!"
I mean, wtf? Close down your forums and then when the community makes a dozen new ones you point them out and say "Oh hey, go check those out". How about you don't split the community up like that and keep the official ones up?
I'm glad that the community did this though. I personally check out the "unofficial official forums" that Ekoz made. I just don't understand HiRez sometimes.
