Additional Comments: Was just curious as to why specifically this mute came about, I've never had a problem with moderators or other players like this in the 5 years I've been playing so this mute was a bit out of nowhere. If it's something about how I act generally then I'm a little confused since I've not really changed how I speak to people at all ingame since I started playing but if this is the case it would be good to see some examples of behaviour that y'all would consider to be insulting to others, even if unintentional so I can avoid them in future.

The only other thing I can think of was a few minutes before the mute came about Shens joined and someone jokingly called them a "Janitor now," and I added "Jannie lol" or something like that unknowing that it was an insulting term, Shens replied rather ominously "Oscar." and a little while later I asked them why they said my name and they explained that it was an insulting term used on 4Chan, a site I have basically no knowledge on. If it was offensive in any way I apologise, I did not intend it in that way, nor do I ever intend to offend people with any banter in-game. (If you're curious I only know the term "Jannie" as it was used routinely by people in a discord server I was in around 2021-2024 in a joking manner).

Not super fussed if it's rejected since it's only a 3 day mute but it would be nice to not have a mute on the record lol

Hi Oscar,

In this case, you were indeed muted for jumping in on this against Shens.

You may not have known the term was insulting, but the fact is it's unkind to talk down to someone who has just volunteered to spend their time helping out this community. Your addition here makes this look like more of a bandwagon against Shens, despite your intentions.

In addition, as you have insinuated, there is something of a track record around you generally skirting the line or behaving in a toxic manner that likely doesn't help your case although it was not by any means the main reason for your mute.

As for the appeal, the mute has already elapsed. We rarely fully remove something from record unless it was erroneous, so there is nothing more to do here.
