PlayComp - Website dedicated to introducing players to Comp

Arron Dominion

Achievement Hunter
While there are already quite a few here that know about TF2 Competitive, I figured it would be a good idea to post here about a discussion on the UGC forums.

A group of players on the UGC forums have started an initiative to primarily help players who either don't know about comp and want to find out, or know about it but don't know how to participate. This initiative is in the form of a website.

The website goes over the basic formats seen between the different leagues (Highlander/6v6/4v4), places to go to watch how the competitive play looks like, goes over the basic leagues (excluded CEVO and a few others) and what gameplay the leagues cater to, a section on how to join breaking it down between finding a team/playing casually/starting a team, competitive resources, and a FAQ with some basic questions:
What do I need to play comp TF2?
I'm new, what format should I go for?
Am I good enough? I'm afraid I will do badly.
Is there a time requirement?
Do I need to use a mic?/I feel uncomfortable using a mic.
Do I need to buy a server for my team?

The information while not going into too many details is a good starting point if you are curious about TF2 competitive. Check it out:
