[Minecraft] Thaumcraft Arcane Bore causing some lag

I acquired the Thaumcraft Arcane bore and noticed that when i turn it on the lag in the area seem to increase greatly.
Has anyone else noticed this? Or does anyone else even have this?
As of now i won't be using it.

I haven't heard of anyone reporting lag with this item, but thank you for not using it until it's looked into
