I really hope this game is good. I played a bit before even starting the videos and there are a few annoying things but I'll chat about them in the series.
Lol, I hear different accounts on that. I've read that Witcher 1 is better, but Witcher 2 is still a good game. My only annoyance is...well I can't just be all mage-y. I just wanna shoot fireballs!
Eh. I find Witcher 1 to be extremely rigid with its combat system. Combat difficulty is also ridiculously unbalanced... Easy is way to easy, and normal is a nightmare struggle just to get by. I also didn't enjoy the story nearly as much as I did Witcher 2.

I'm now into the town of Vizima and very much enjoying the game. My only real criticism of the game is that they constantly do "twists" to the point that you aren't even surprised...
So, monsters DO respawn. This is very good news. Besides the sickness and and sores, another big reason I stopped playing for awhile was because I was pissed. I had gone through the swamp and killed everything, only to find I had NONE of the monsters in my bestiary. What's that mean? It means I couldn't get any of the quest items. >=/
But, monsters respawn. So I can go to town, get the info I need, then return and kill more! Yay! Still feels like I wasted some time but whatever, that just means more videos.
As of now, I am making a list of things that bothers me in The Witcher. The combat, people being gone during certain times of the day and likewise for monsters. I can't wait to see what The Witcher 2 improves upon.
