2fortdc Has Flatlined...

Well, over the past little while it seems the 2fortDC server has flatlined.

I'm considering changing it to 24/7 of one or the other to see if it helps. My instincts tell me 2fort owing from the number of people dropping after map changes, and given that a separate 24/7 Doublecross was a complete ghost town. It barely filled when I had events in it!

id say make it 24/7 2fort but with the ability to vote for switch to dc but if it empties that it auto switches back to 2fort that way its a 24/7 2fort but if the whole server wants dc then they can switch it :3

I could set something like that up, but I debate whether it's worth the hassle. Moreso because they're two separate flavors - people join 2fort to play 2fort, people join DC to play DC, and when it switches you tend to lose a chunk.

2 Fort had a cult following back in the day when our servers werent creap, it may sit empty for a bit but if we leave it up long enough it will grow just like Dustbowl has.

for the record, 2fort (the original) was my idea. So far I am 2 for 2 in my server ideas (dustbowl being one of them) So listen to me all the time!!! haha j/k

What!? Did I hear 2fort? I am currently trying to learn all the other maps I didnt learn while spending most of my tf2 hours on 2fort and DC for 2yrs. If I wasnt, I would be cheering for 2fort all the way. I could understand 2fort being easlier to fill but man I miss a good DC server. Umm I see I am no help here. Good day. xD

Change it to 2fort 24/7. 2fort notoriously fills faster via QP and if people REALLY want doublecross they can go to another server and vote to change to that map there.

2Fort is the W+M1 of maps. That's why people like it for mindless fun, and also why people hate it with a passion, I think.

I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW IT WAS THE ONLY SERVER I PLAYED ON UNLESS DC WAS OPEN FOR ANOTHER PLAYER.
I like 2fart. (Yes, the map too).

From my experience from trying to get people to play on that server is seems most people prefer 2fort and usually on a map switch to DC we loose about half the server. If we are going to change it to a map vote option maybe we could try throwing in a few other ctf maps, I know I have seen some people request Turbine and I would love to have Convoy(the original version) back to play on.

I say keep it 24p for now but if it fills up constantly then expand to 32 if needed.

I say we do what Night says when it becomes mass filled become 32 or make the 24/7 dustbowl 32 because I know its hard to get in once it has started.

Dustbowl is popular because of the personalities that play there. Actually Dustbowl is why I ended up joining the community in the first place, I liked all the guys there.The conversations are a riot and the people who drop in with mics and hear all the chatter tend to join in. Then they favorite the server. Then they join the group. You need to build the same community on your empty servers. I'd love to have some variety but I end up always going back to Dustbowl because thats where the guys are.

Oh man a 32 player dustbowl server would be fun But might hurt us with quickplay as we get knocked for more than 24 players.

32 people spamfest=epic :3 i love the 16vs16 teams where there are like 6 engies on 1 team and invading a base actually takes teamwork instead of 1 scout and a spy running in twice that is why i love 2fort so much you end up having 4-6 snipers and the other 10-12 people are busy working together to break in and it just makes it so much more fun then any other map
