Additional comments:

Today I changed my name to the symbol of a comic book that has meant a lot to me throughout my life. [Z?] is a symbol on the cover of a graphic novel called "Johnny The Homicidal Maniac". While the novel did consist of adult themes, such as religion, mental illness, and existentialism, the symbol itself has nothing at all to do with war.

The spray I provided was a modfied version of one I found online, and is supposed to represent the question "Does the world stop existing when I go to sleep?" (A question asked directly within the novel itself.) The Z stands for sleep, (or potentially suicidal ideations,) but not war. I meant the spray to be a sigil that the mentally ill can rally behind, only to just today find out it's a war symbol. That was never my intention, and while I will swap my name, and spray, I am sorry to have caused this mess in the first place.

Write the appeal in the standard format (which I linked above), then you will be replied to with explanation of the ban

The admin could've banned you for the Nickname (Z is a widely known pro-war symbol) and then perhaps clicked on a spray option because there wasn't one for nicknames

The symbol is from a graphic novel that covers a wide variety of topics including existentialism, mental illness, and religion. The symbol is supposed to by something that the mentall ill can rally behind. It was not supposed to be a war symbol, and I'm now both sad, and angry.

I also DID spray a tag with the same symbol. I can provide it if needed.

Please do not reply to ban appeal threads unless you are an admin who is allowed to handle ban appeal threads or the person banned. You are neither, and VF4 staff can handle ban appeals on their own.

After reviewing the details of your ban, we have elected to unban you. Z is often a symbol used by Russian supporters in the Russian-Ukraine war, and is banned under German law. As such, usage of it in our server nets people a perm ban. Since everything about your reasoning checks out and you genuinely seem to have been ignorant as to what that symbol meant, we'll remove your ban from the record. However, this does come with the caveat that you are now considered inexcusably aware of our rules, and any violations of a similar nature will result in a reinstatement of your perm ban. It might be a good idea to change your name and spray just to avoid any issues arising from them looking like a pro-genocide symbol, but I'll personally make sure no staff action is taken against you if you do not.

Thank you. My steam profile has already been changed, and I will not use that Z as a spray again. I would appreciate any help I could get in changing my name om THIS website however, as the name seems like a poor choice suddenly.
