My thoughts? Looks really linear, but the story is really compelling to me. I WANT to know what happens. I care if they die or not, which wasn't the case in the BF3 campaign. There are also a lot of little fixes from BF3 you see, which is good. Also, it looks GORGEOUS. Hopefully my computer can run it though.
 
Yup, doesn't look any different than BF3 at all. Maybe slightly better graphics. Looks like they're going to go the "release a new game every year" format. Nope for me.

Oh I hope they don't a yearly thing. I liked BF3 when I first got it. Granted, I was on the 360 so the games weren't as big as the 1337 PC games. =P

Firstly, BF3 came out in 2011, so it's not a release every year yet. Secondly, if you watch some of the analysis ideas, you'll pick up on some of the things that are actually different from BF3. Mostly UI stuff, but very nice changes. BF3 was fucking amazing, so they're taking what they did right and fixing what they got wrong.
 
You guys are ridiculous. Like Call of Duty? Really? Do you even play the game? This game is nothing like COD and to even think that is ridiculous. As 13th said, they will make this game like no other. I am really stoked about the dual site ability. This will eliminate the need for panic or a side arm all the time when you got an over powerd scope and a guy runs around the corner. The game looks beautiful as well. Just think it's funny reading people post and knock something down that they spent maybe a couple hours playing lol. BF lifer here. Been here from the beginning and will be to the end. I hope and I would say they will come out with another futuristic game for the next one. 2142 was one of the most epic games.
 
The marketing is CoD like is what everyone is saying, and honestly the gunplay has taken a turn towards CoD as well. No they are not the same, but the similarities are quite large.
 
Really? So CoD was the first game to market like that.....interesting. Guess we all forget about the good old days when all this started. They just jump on the bandwagon for money like everyone other game slowly has including CoD, which is most defiantly NOT the game that started it. That's all for me, I'm done. Just get irritated when BF players start saying stuff like that. My 2 best friends are die hard CoD and even they know there is no comparison. Think they were happy when CoD jumped on that marketing wagon?

I loved the BF series. What is the difference between BF2 and BF3? BF3 has better graphics. If anything they dumbed it down. In 2 you could have squads of (I think) 6. Their was an overall commander for each team that could mark objectives and send in supplies. They had a cool expansion that introduced zip lines and grappling hooks. (Remember when expansions were that - expansions?)

BF3 has some destructible elements (nothing like Bad Company series), and the ability to parachute in. And on the PC version there's not even any ingame voice chat. There's nothing different between the two except better graphics.

This BF4 trailer looks exactly like BF3. They don't show any new gameplay elements. And I'm sure the multiplayer will be the same way. Same weapons, same vehicles.

I would love the BF series to make a huge success and roflstomp CoD into the ground. This trailer doesn't show me that it's trying to.
 
It is possible they bring the commander role back. We should see possibly a little more destruction but we will never see it like BC2. Way to many buildings and stuff in the game now. Maybe certain maps will have it more than others or certain buildings. We cant completely pummel down sky scrapers lol. Also they said when you watch the trailer "What you see is what you can play". Thats a big statement and can mean anything as far as massive campaign boundaries? Not stuck in certain small paths to complete the mission? Who knows. And honestly BF will never drive CoD into the ground. Why? Because CoD is marketed towards the younger crowd. The game is simple and there's nothing to it as far as much strategy. You run..you shoot and you do it over and over. There no huge picture of strategy and team play like BF. BF is geared more to the strategic players like it always has. Granted BF does have options for TDM and such just like every game. BF has more options for all players..Tank only map modes, Jet only, CTF, ext, ext.... BF has something for everyone but as long as DICE in the picture.. It won't take over lol. Also if anyone did not know. BF4 will be on the all new Frostbite 3 engine!!! They came out with a whole new one in just 2 years time and wow it look good.
