Country music is not about hillbillies living in a trailer.

lonesome killer

Reechard said something to the effect that country music is about living in a trailer and loving it. That's not true. It's about loving yourself, your family, God, your neighbors, the American soldier, and life. It's about having a good time with friends, love, heartbreaks, and remembering the moments that define you. It's about doing right and appreciating the little things like when your woman calls you "baby." And at the end of a long work week it's about winding down and having some fun.

Literally all of these are about being a piece of crap hillbilly and living in a trailer.

Why do I get the strange feeling the OP was taking a joke waaaaay too seriously lol.

There's no real joke here. I really REALLY hate country music. It is all of the worst parts of 70s/80s rock without any of the good parts, and it really, honestly is drastically lowering the standards that some of the "not quite as educated" in our society place on themselves. In the 80s at least country music was about living in the country, living off the land, driving cattle, raising crops, and being a contributing member of society even without necessarily being educated..... Now it's all about sitting in the trailer being drunk all day with your pregnant wife and letting welfare carry you through life. I hate it.

Which I just showed the top hits are nothing like that. I listen to cuntry religiously and the songs are not like that. Reechard hates it and so I'm sure he doesn't listen to it and can't tell you first hand what it sounds like.

You enjoy country music?

I sat here for about 5 minutes wanting to add something to that question, but I'm actually speechless.

He grew up listening to it...so yea, he can tell you. Also, our daughter listens to Taylor Swift/Carrie Underwood etc.

I'm not a fan of country, but I gotta admit, Johnny Cash was freaking awesome

As a person that enjoys country music,..... I do not enjoy the Toby Keith inspired pop music of todays "artists" Clint Black, Garth Brooks, George Strait, and Alan Jackson to name a few are GOOD country music, and are actually about enjoying life, and working hard. Not this shit about driving around in a jacked up truck my daddy gave me that I take down to the beach and blow through stop signs. Fuck that shit. Ya'll aint country, ya'll are pretty boys.

No, country music is far more complex than that. It's usually about beer, Jesus, girlfriend, guns, and trucks.
