It looks nice, looking forward to seeing actual gameplay though. Am I the only one that would like to see the VATS system nixed?

As much as I want to buy it new, I never buy new from Bethesda. They push games out that aren't tested and so they have a million bugs (some game breaking), and they're going to release DLC that should have been included in the release of the game. So I'll probably wait a year then buy a version with all the DLC for less than $60 that actually works when I download it.

Threeish years from now, there'd probably be some sort of Complete Edition for $15, but then I'd have to wait threeish years to play Fallout 4.

Fallout 3 released Oct 30, 2008. The GOTY edition with all 5 DLC's released Oct 13, 2009. It wasn't even a year old.
The GOTY edition took 1 1/2 years.

Your 3ish estimate is greatly exaggerated.

No worries man, just got my new job so by the time Fallout 4 comes out I'll probably be giving away a few copies =P

"Believe me because I said I worked for Bethesda... No need to fact check because I am the source."

Lol, that was my first thought to. Even if he did work at Bethesda and was pissed at his firing, people tend to make up stories to discredit people/companies they feel wronged them.

I'm sure the game itself will be great though, Bethesda has produced some great games, especially with this series and Elder Scrolls.

Lolyeah when I was first linked to it, I thought it was interesting and posted it here first, then actually read the whole thing and looked at the comments and I was like noooooooooooooooooope.

Also, if you don't already have all of Fallout like a good human being, it's all on sale on Steam right now. $35ish for everything up to now.

xD Fallout 4 is already pre-orderable on Steam! That's insane.

And I've tried playing the older Fallout games, can't get into them. Was never interested in this series till I saw Fallout 3 when it first launched and it looked cool.

Fallout 3 was the first by Bethesda, they bought fallout in part to try out new ideas for the Elder Scrolls series. Such as having monster strengths be area specific rather than player level specific. Which was an issue with Oblivion, when the baddies scaled to the player level players leveled in non-main areas which counted for less. Changes to both the leveling system and bad guy strength were first tested in fallout 3, along with changes to the system for NPC attitude towards the player. The successful ideas were put into Skyrim and the non successful ones were tweaked and changed for Skyrim.

All I can say is GOOD. Seventh gen needs to go away. Getting an Xbone or PS4 isn't all that expensive, or even a low end PC.

I don't think for a second that any developer ever made the decision to not release a game on specific gen of consoles just because "we need to move on". Rather they made the game they wanted to make and are releasing it on everything that can play it. Consoles generations had only lasted about 5 years at a time (prior to seventh gen), the reason 7th gen didn't get replaced in 5 years is because the console developers couldn't dramatically improve consoles while still keeping them semi-affordable. The guy in that vid missed the mark, thinking that game release on console versions is a developer decision, it's not, Bethesda made the game they wanted to make on the new console, and it wouldn't be possible to port it to 7th gen, otherwise they would have ported it to 7th gen to reach more consumers.

Also does anybody else read Xbone as X-bone? I like that name and will continue calling it the X-bone

Been calling it the Xbone since it got that name =P

He may have missed the mark, but it's true. And it's funny seeing people get bitchy because their old ass consoles are becoming obsolete. Gaming as a hobby can be expensive, can't keep playing the newest games with outdated stuff.
