Sooo, had a weird idea. Dunno if it would work out, but I think it'll make an interesting forum game and maybe make a silly story out of it.
Here's how it works:
Each person posts a sentence.
Your sentence must:
-use ALL of the words in the previous person's sentence, but in any order.
-You may replace up to 4 words in the sentence.
-"Unused" replacements let you add a word.
-Words may be replaced with nothing (i.e. removal).
- It must make sense with the previous sentence.
If it gets too hard to make a proper sentence, filler words like a, an, the etc. will be exempt.
Example:
"There once was an old man with a shed."
"The shed was once a crazy man's old workshop with an enormous secret..."
(added crazy, workshop, enormous, secret. Removed there, for 1 replacement and 3 additions)
Starting Sentence:
"It was a quiet evening in the VF4 forums, with snowflakes drifting gently to the ground"...
