It's all about ratings. Nobody cares about health care bills. They care when the Kardashians have a new twist on their show. My philosophy is if something is news worthy you will hear about it. I never watch/read news.

I'm not surprised by those numbers though I am glad I can't name any body on jersey shore. Also I'm not mad about tom hanks but there should be some other names on there that actually do something besides act. The problem is that everyone goes for the lowest common denominator so they dumb everything down and sell out rather than making people come up to a good level. Its in all types of media, the news, movies, tv, games, and even books. Its destroying this country but unfortunately there is no real way to fix it, its upto the creators of these mediums to smarten up and make people actually think again.
