I am starting a long pathfinder campaign that takes PC's from level 1-20. This is a single campaign with multiple story arcs, both long and short, to keep things interesting over single sessions and many months. I am flexible on hours, ie if we want to meet once a week, every other week, or have once a month power sessions i'm good with it. I only ask that if you sign up you are saying that will make at least 3 out of every 4 sessions. I am aiming for 5 pc's, and would keep running the session so long as at least 3 show up. That way we are neither cancelling often nor is it a problem if real life happens and you can't make it to a session. Tuesdays or Saturdays would work best for me, but I'm open to what gets us the best turnout.

The Campaign
Pharoah Khemet III, the Ruby Prince, has been opening the country of Osirion's tombs to adventures in order to help raise money for his nation. The Mummy's Mask adventure starts in the city of Wati where the Necropolis is soon to be opened for explorers to dive into. Wati is the half-dead city, so called because about 1,700 years ago the followers of Lamashtu brought down the Plague of Madness upon the city. In the end over 60% of the population died, after nearly becoming a ghost town the Church of Pharasma arrived to help, in order to give proper rights to so many dead they walled of a large section of the city, and consecrated it as a large burial ground. Today the walled section of the city is known as the Necropolis, and Khemet III has ordered it be opened for excavation and plunder. Your party is one of at least a dozen that showed up to seek their fortune in the half-dead city. But not everyone has come for gold and glory, many have come with alternative intentions. Whether they are good or bad is yet to be seen.

This campaign takes place in the desert and in tombs with many traps, you have been warned (seriously some of these traps are diabolical).

Spoiler Free Players Guide requires a paizo acct, is free though

House Rules:
Start at level 1, 20 point buy
High RP races are allowed at a 15 point buy; Drow Noble, Svirfneblin, Ogre
Low RP races are given a 25 point buy; Kobold
Most homebrew races can be accommodated, if you're going to be stuck with them for 20 levels you should enjoy them.
your 2 traits should be from separate groups (ie you can't take two racial traits or two campaign traits)
Campaign traits are optional, you are not required to take one, they are found in the players guide
Wealthy parents trait is not allowed
Start with 150 gp

Let me know if your interested and what kind of schedule works

What would we be playing on?
I.E., roll20, Fantasy Grounds, etc.
roll 20 f0r the tomb/dungeon attacks. I'm considering play-by-post for the in between talky bits. (ie posting in this forum, you want to visit these shops, post backstory and things going on, etc..)

What? Use the forum? That's amazing!

Side note: does the forum have built-in dice rolling?

bawks does... but keep in mind there's a 10% chance of a natural zero... though I might be persuaded to remove that... :)

Apparently play by post is all the rage on Paizo.com, people play entire campaigns that way. I still prefer everyone together for the fighting personally though

Combat would take quite some time by post... Though makes a lot of sense for in betweeny bits.

Yeah, I played a lot of PbP back in the day. And by back in the day I mean like a year ago. The biggest problem in it is that combat takes forever without additional strict rules about post timing and lax consideration of turn order.

I think it could be kinda fun for other folks to read along as the campaign progresses... but could get cumbersome. I could look at a diceroll bbcode tag but it would mean no post edits to change your roll :p

don't do anything time consuming on our account. anything that would require much rolling or back and forth i'dwant do in person. g

nah, I wasn't planning on it unless folks were super keen on PbP.

The place I used to play on used vbulletin and had a bbcode plugin for it, but Iunno if there's a xenforo one somewhere you could steal easily.

PbP would cut down on campaign death from people not being able to make sessions.

Well lets see if we can get some firm answers, once a week is winning in the vote does anybody have a problem with Tuesday's around 6:30e? So far we have interest from Lumberjack, Hex, Vintage, & Farside. Sol mentioned something about wanting to find another PF game but hasn't been online in a few days (guessing family and xmas). I'd start with 4 but would prefer 5.

Edit: New house rule, since swarms are thrown at you at level 1, I'll allow your unarmed damage to hurt the swarms (ie I'm swatting and stomping everything in sight).

Tuesdays can work, but does Thursday look for people?

How's everyone doing for character concepts?

Stat: Can I be a Neutral Paladin of Pharasma? With my code of conduct appropriately adapted into Pharasma's view of good and evil.
And can you show me the breakdown of my RP that you did? I think my sources for point cost might be limited/outdated and I'm still tryna finagle things.

1) Farside said any day but thursday
2) Yes, but High Priestess Sebti the Crocodile (Human; Neutral; Cleric) will give (force) you a leave of absence from the Church, as the church itself is organizing the tomb raiding. She is quite particular on being fair and not showing favorites, you will be treated as any other adventurer for the duration of the campaign.

Stat, should I just keep the Aura of Good/Detect Evil since I'm Neutral? I was thinking Detect Evil should be the same, since I'm retargeted against Undead which tends to be Evil anyway and is specially included in the description for Detect Evil. Iunno about the Alignment Aura tho.

Also, can we take drawbacks?

I won't be here Tuesday, but I'll post my sheet here as I get more of it done.
