most of the time capping never happens because half the team just ignores the objective so coordinating a push is impossible

rtv almost never passes because people who rtv eventually give up and leave the server, taking the vote with them

it's not fun that a bunch of people can vote ctf and then lock the entire server into it for 2 hours, no other game mode has this issue

Unfortunately this was an upstream change by the tf2c devs and my understanding is this was a change in the map or game code itself - our server settings/configs pre- and post- steam release have not changed - we still specify an mp_timelimit value but ctf just ignores this. We've discussed it internally before and I don't think there's a way for us to override this without either some custom SM plugin work or repackaging and shipping non-stock BSPs on our servers, but both of these would be deviations from the stock experience and likely to be a hard no-no on the official standard servers

Thank you for the reply. It's sad that the problem is needlessly complicated but I understand the situation you're in and that this is not something you have control over under the current circumstances.
