I'm genuinely really sick of half the lobby throwing a tantrum everytime I do something as mundane as nominating a map that I like in a videogame. I nominate 2fort because it's a map that I like in a server host that I am familiar and comfortable with then half the lobby starts throwing a hissy fit telling me to leave the server to join a 24/7 2fort server and saying things like "fuck you" just for nominating it. I don't care if you don't like 2fort, you're entitled to not like things, but please stop fucking bullying people for something as stupid as map nominations in a videogame, most of the people playing are grown ass adults. It's not fair that everyone gets to play the maps that they like all fucking day then I ask to play the map that I like once then everyone starts immediately shitting on me for it.

I get it, you don't like it, you think it's a bad map, and that is perfectly fine with me. But please stop acting like entitled toddlers and throwing fits everytime it's nominated. I shouldn't be having to deal with being told to leave by half the lobby for committing the great offense of nominating a map that I like in a game that I like in a server that I like.

If a map you don't like gets nominated, don't vote for it, if it's get voted for, rtv, and if it doesn't get rtv'd then I'm sorry but shit happens. Staying throughout the whole duration of the match just so you can squeeze every single tear out of yourself and constantly groan and moan about how bad the map is and how horrible of a time you're having just makes you look like an asshole. Some people act like certain TF2 maps fucked their wives and it's genuinely embarrassing.

@[bluesavior] not as controversial as you'd think but the head admins believe there would be mass riots if it was removed (or made a supporter-only benefit teehee :greedy)

tbh I'm surprised that people don't tend to give me much shit for my ironic barnblitz nominations. I guess even bad payload is still liked more by the masses than no payload?

i need to find steel scrims atm since a lot as a playable character though i now wish i had something half typed in bawks and forgot to remove it

Tbh I just find map nomination binds to be kinda frustrating, especially when multiple people have them as it means most other people either can't nominate anything or the map selection gets less variety. Same thing is with the people that have binds to immediately nominate like Railway and Flask, which are two maps I don't mind.

I really don't like joining a server near the beginning of a map and then trying to nominate a lesser played map and seeing the nomination list is immediately full of maps that some people have binds they pop immediately. I do think you get too much shit for it though just because NA players hate 2fort.

I would not mind people trying to nominate CTF maps and Powerhouse etc. if they got round timers back on them because the main issue I have with getting put on 2fort is that the matches last actually forever if the teams actually push/defend the objective. The removal of that has been one of the more frustrating changes to the Steam release for me bc it means a chunk of the maplist is just dead content unless everyone on the server happens to want to play CTF.

i really think the backlash to long maps like ctf and powerhouse wouldn't be as big if we still had the server timer mechanic in place from pre-Steam. i really don't mind playing them but at some point it just gets tiring and I haven't seen proper RTVs take hold since the Steam release either.
