I like doing it for 20+mb. The larger the file the more accurate the test. You may still get similar results to the other site, but that just means your connection is very solid.

Better place for speed tests http://testmy.net/ because you can pick a download and upload size to test which gives a more accurate result since many other sites use a very small file size and a lot of carriers have speeds that taper off over time.

My test results are only so great because its the middle of the night.

Normally I'm at half of this. Thats what I get for living in the middle of nowhere Oregon.
