Superman Vs The Hulk

Who would win?

My friend and I got talking about Injustice, than Marvel Vs Capcom...then Deadpool and we made our way to Superman Vs The Hulk. He believes that The Hulk would initially be losing, which causes him to simply get angrier and eventually be stronger.

I say, that if Superman started to get worried that another Doomsday like event would happen, then he'd do one of two things.

Either A, send The Hulk to the phantom zone, or B, THROW HIS ASS IN SPACE. Even if the Hulk magically learned to breathe in space, the guy can't MOVE. Therefore, Superman wins.

Anyone vs superman seems a bit unfair.

Superman can fly within a few ft of the sun and the only thing that happens is he gets more power. How can anyone defeat someone like that?

The Hulk gets angrier, and therefore gets stronger. It's been pointed out to me (although I don't know if it is true) that the Hulk basically has infinite power if he continues to get angrier. So, no matter how long the fight goes, my friend argues that eventually Superman would reach his limits (you know...of being a god) and the Hulk would be getting more and more frustrated as the fight goes and he'd just get stronger.

Reading through the shit they have on him for wikipedia, Hulk can survive for extended periods in space due to his body being able to adapt to situations. So we're also talking about what version of Hulk are we dealing with? There is a version of Hulk where he has banners intelligence, Grey Hulks Cunning, and the Super strength of Green Hulk. If in that form he would go against super man..... I think he would win. Super man has limits, he's ALMOST Godlike, but not quite. Hulk, effectively has no Limit. If he's mad enough, he has the strength to launch himself into sub orbit and jump across continents.

I think the bigger concern should be this. What the hell would happen to the planet if they fought? I think the tectonic plates would break...

Superman could just throw the hulk into orbit. He may be able to survive for extended periods of time up there, but get him into orbit and leave. Can't live forever.

Superman is a fucking god, really. Guess what he could easily do? RIP OFF THE HULK'S HEAD. No way can the Hulk survive that.

Ah, but there's the rub Geoff. WOULD Superman go to that extreme before the Hulk got angry enough?

No, he wouldn't. He would realize soon enough though that the Hulk get stronger as he gets angrier, therefore he'd resort to either using the Phantom Zone or just tossing him into space.

This is why Superman is such a terrible superhero though... Being a god, and having bullshit things like the Phantom Zone to toss your enemies into... That's dumb. It's horrible, and it makes everything extremely one-sided. Getting tossed into space? There are ways back from space, it's the comic book universe, there will be a passing satellite, or a shuttle, or some other planet, and he'll land on it and jump back.

I would have to say superman. The closest thing to compare is Superman vs Bizarro which has happened on many occasions. Bizarro has all the strength and power of superman but half the brains. Each time Superman put him in his place. From what I recall the only thing that actually killed Superman was the Doomsday Device
