D&D... what say ye?

So vintage and I were talking and discussing future campaigns/adventures. I brought up possibly switching to Pathfinder. It is not a huge jump by any means going from DnD3.5 -> Pathfinder. It would be a little bit of learning for anyone who hasn't played PF before but nothing crazy. It would allow, in my opinion, more versatility within classes and to not be hampered by your class choice. I know Statboy was saying that he was bummed because his combat skills were lackluster. If this is something you guys want to pursue that is cool with me (and vintage) if we want to stay 3.5 that is fine too. I think we would have more fun with PF, but again its up to the group.

I like the look of the ninja class in pathfinder, It's very similar to rogue, exceptions being hit die, skills, weapon proficiencies, and special bonuses for level.

someone find me a sourcebook, I'll look it over. I'm pretty sure it's not "much" different, it just has better skill interpretation instead of the huge mess of things you have to learn for 3.5, and I've heard combat is easier.

I think DM's choice, it's much easier for the PC's to transfer system's, than the DM. I cast my vote for whatever vint wants to do here.

well, I'm going to probably be unable to D&D during August, at least the first three weeks (last week maybe) so I would (probably) have the time to read it over and figure out the differences... if everyone wants to switch, I will do that.

I am all in favor of moving to PF. I honestly believe that the change will be next to painless. Almost all of the differences that I have noticed are on the PC end not the DM end

Does FG already support the PF ruleset or do we need additional modules?

Yes it does support it without any further purchases :)

And as I told you in Chatbawks, I am more than happy to buy a module or two that contains everything needed for an adventure in FG. :) It would be already fully integrated and would take way less prep time.

So uh... Yeah... Got a wake to go to tonight... then I am going to get moar tattoos.... So.... I will not be around again tonight >_> <_<

i'm with Sol, lets finish up this campaign 2night if we can, then we'll have time to switch to PF while vint is AFK.

We won't finish tonight... there's still an entire act to go once you finish this one...

Greatest magic item ever, the Handy Haversack pg. 516. Functions as multiple bags of holding, yet is cheaper and what you're looking for is always on top.

Another great one for you bow/crossbow users is the Efficient Quiver. Can hold 6 bows, 18 javelins, and 60 arrows/bolts and only weighs like 5 pounds

So I have a craft skill to make Bows and Arrows, and once we hit level 5 I can take craft magical as a feat. Reading the rules I am rather confused about how to make magic arrows. I know I have to make a masterwork arrows first, after that the cost and how to add magic to them gets a little confusing. Anybody know how this process works?
