Everyone plays the same 10 maps all the time

Is there a logic to the pool selection or is it (say) just a subset of some smaller number of all the available maps? Certainly it would not be hard to do something similar here if people enjoy that

I believe the maintainer of the rotation picker put in some logic to keep a balanced spread of gamemodes, and put some weighing to ensure at least some TF2C-MC developed maps are in each rotation (I've seen some rotations without any, but that's random chance for you)
 
I see. We don't currently have a rotation manager to do that, but I can ask our staff and/or we can maybe get close by pooling maps by type and choosing e.g. 2 maps from each grouping.

Yeah, ask Voodoo about that, he manages the rotation. There are 10 maps selected at random every week, I think. Apparently there’s an adjustment planned for there to be one “weird/meme/gimmick” map in the rotations along with 9 seriously designed maps, so there’s some incentive for people who play tf2 for the gimmicks to join.

Edit: ach, i’m on a phone and didn’t see iti’s reply. Yeah he’s right, there are tf2cmc-made maps ensured to be in the weekly pool too.
