Should We Have A Killing Floor Server?

Was talking to Vintage and CD and we got to talking and we are wondering if Vintage setup a killing floor server would people play on it?

Would it be only played in Iceh Events?
- Or other events?

Please post below if you would join in and/or are interested.

I know I would like to see this. But what do the other Vault members feel towards this idea?

A month or two ago some of my friends decided to play and I hoped in, I found out the hard way that they had made it a lot harder to headshot and added a number of new weapons I was very not used to. I got mauled so hard.

The Christmas event/sale for it should be going live in the next week or two, so it'd probably be a good time to act on that. I love the game and definitely would be willing to teach others the gist of things.

I don't have the game myself so I can't test it. Please let me know if there are issues with the setup. (it's stock).

just tried to get on and i had to do 18392k map download for waterworks....is that a default map?

EDIT: it is a default map but why is it forcing a download that large?

Beats me, I know very little about UT-based games.

just realized how small that is...does the server not have fast download capabilities, usually it takes all of 3 seconds to get the map from the server

I am confused, if the server is running stock, there should be anything to download.

yea i have never setup a UT-based server so i have no idea, if you have the game you can just keep entering the server and see what its trying to download

EDIT: another big one was kf_gore_trip_sm, to be honest idk if all these files are need to run the server...let me do some research for ya
